Just had a thought. Would a head spin open up the k20 supercharger options?

1 of them cant do jobs?

spin the head, spin the crank?
run the gearbox backwards?

the guy who did the kompresser sc by putting it down the front did it best

Yea, they do it on some of the touring cars. I think Merc was looking at it. Get the inlet at the front with some ITB's and enjoy some ram air.

But the K20 is in that way around and the SC options may open up a little

Well the k20 has the belt on the left of the engine, if you modify the mounting on the inlet manifold with the head spun then have the supercharger rotated 180 degrees to run with the belt on the right wont it be spinning the correct direction from the engine then?

i dont think its really possible

i know exactly what you are talking about

its not going to happen unless you have silly money to throw at making a new head.

i thought of this and soon scrapped the idea.

why do all that when you can buy the SC cheaper and modify that

1 reason would be that you could then link it up to an intercooler and help reduce the heating issues. The air intake would also be at the front of the bay with the exhaust at the back to futher help the heat issues.

Another reason is that the k20 super chargers are much more readily available than the h22 ones.
