Balancer shafts

Guys. Has anyone, or does anyone run there balancer shafts in there motor but not connected?? E.g. no belt? Cheers

Yeah I have for awhile now, haven't noticed any negative affects and recommend it

If anything it was a little rougher on tickover, but in my opinion it only made it feel more aggressive.. probably was all noise though.

Just playing devil's advocate, but, are there any positives to not having the belt in place?

I was wondering this too. If you're not saving any weight, are you really gaining enough HP to justify the extra wear and vibration?

Well what i was going to say is that really its weight the motor wont be turning and second its a belt and a tensioner i don't have to replace, keep cost to a min. But other than that that's probs it!!
