Looking for an induction kit for 1998 prelude 2.0

Have just been having a quick scan for an induction kit for my 1998 2l manual prelude.

There is no listing on the K&N website for one that is compatible.

Would a cheap one like this be okay or should I be looking for something a little better?

I can actually only find one other one that is listed as compatible.

Don't bother with an induction kit they are crap. I fitted one to my 2.0 and it didn't feel as responsive, so it went in the bin.

The best 2 things you can do is just replace the standard air filter in the airbox with a K&N one. Or if you can afford around £150, buy a Honda OEM airbox for a Prelude Type S and slap a K&N filter inside. As the Type S airbox is dual chamber and less restrictive.

As rob said, performance wise you won't notice much difference, but it will sound a lot better

On my 1st lude, I went for an eBay chrome intake pipe and binned the filter, then got a pipercross viper filter. It worked well for me and I'm still using it now, I've just upgraded the intake pipe 8-)

Not worried about performance just wanted it to sound a bit gruffer.

I can sell you one of those (used) for a tenner plus postage if you like. It's not immaculate, but cheaper than that and in perfectly usable condition. I can get some pics if you're interested.

Are you sure because this one says "Increases power by 6-10BHP and improves throttle response."?

EDIT:

possibly found the best ever description for a universal induction kit

JDM High Performance Complete Air Intake System
(Universal Fitment, 64-76mm 2.5"-3.0" CHROME Version)

This professional air intake kit system is the complete solution to optimize throttle response and
generate explosive horsepower output.

Besides, the aluminum injection pipe coupled with the funnel-shaped air filter allow cold airflow channeling
leading to minimal intake turbulence, air speed boosting and, in turn, creating pure horsepower and
improving fuel / gas mileage.

The filter also features dry density fibers to obstruct foreign materials entering the engine, making it
the most efficient air cleaner on the market today.

Get one now to drive at Maximum Power!

HAHA explosive horsepower output!!

I have one very similar to that jap speed one, it does make sound nicer but I haven't noticed a massive difference I have mine wrapped in some special insulation wrap and heat reflective tape I got from work
