Can a h22a7 engine drop into a uk 4th gen prelude with minimal modifications?

all depends what minimal modifications means for you. Engine/gearbox will fit plug and play but I gues there is some job with wiring all stuff as A7 is OBD2 and prelude 4g OBD1. I may be wrong but it seams to be possible to go around this as for tuning usualy we go to OBD1 first. So sound like swap+P28+Crome/Hondata will do the job for you.
I'm sure there are people with more knowlege so they can confirm this

I did an A8 conversion to a 4th gen. Use 4th gen loom, change the dizzy and there are a few other bits to change too but not many, it is a pretty straight forward swap.

Should the h22a7 be any harder?

The H22a7 and H22a8 are almost the same engine, as far as your 4th gen would know, it is the same engine.

Ok cool, I'm keeping my eye out for one. My engine is totally fine however in years to come it may not be n I'd like to think I have one ready, just wondering on how it would keep....
