When I pull away in 1st and sometimes in 2nd I feel a tiny tap through the clutch pedal, any ideas what this could be? It doesn't feel like it's slipping...so I'm not sure

Is is single tap or a multiple/repeated tap? Does it happen when pressing the clutch, releasing the clutch, or both? We need a bit more information.

It could be as simple as bleeding your clutch fluid, which if you have never done it to that car wouldn't be a bad idea anyway.

As merlin said put more info up when it happens or poss a vid?check clutch pedal isnt flat as suggested could be air in clutch lines cylinder seals in master or slave could be knackered or leaking or poss just a bit of dirt in the lines Otherwise full lock when driving and check for noisy cv's? Jack car up and check for sticking pads/sliders causing sticking? Check if noisy clutch when pedal pressed could be worn clutch or worn release bearing, if noisy when clutch not pressed in could poss be worn input shaft bearing. Start with the small stuff first tho. Hope this helps

Ok it's a single tap in first mainly as I pull off, occasionally I get a single tap whilst braking when my foot on the clutch gets near the top. Same when I put it into first and pull off it's near the top I get a tap.

Also when it's cold in 1st even if I'm carfull I get a judder as I pull away.

And when cold it is sometimes a muffin getting it into first gear which is massively annoying.

I thought maybe it might be poor / old gear box oil so I replaced it but still it's hard to select 1st cold.

When it's warm it's fine

It'd releasing the clutch I get the single tap, which you can't hear but you can feel through your foot

Maybe the clutch pedal spring/spring bushes worn. We get this in the diesel CRV when the little spring bushes are worn out. Try and get under the footwell whilst pressing the clutch pedal with ur hand and look at the whole assembly.

This can come from play in gearbox mainshaft bearing i believe, Both my 4th gens have this. Though i have virtually illiminated this in one, by switching to amsoil transmission fluid.
