Lude Generation

It's been bugging me for a while but I've not made any long journeys until this week.

The isolator switch is on, I get over 40MPH in 5th but it won't engage. Is there any reason anyone can think of for this?
Is there a sensor on the M2V5 that the M2B4 doesn't have?

I had a problem with mine a while back
turned out to be the wee switch that sits on top of the clutch pedal needed wound back a fraction so the cruise control engaged.
