Exhaust back box modification

Post by Msjm6747 » Mon May 19, 2014 6:29 pm

Hi I'm new to this forum and new to preludes, picked up a 1999 2.2 manual lude a few weeks ago.

With the car the bloke have me a peco stainless backbox and said it off the car. After looking at it properly it has never been on the car as the I let bore is tiny , like 1.4 inch or something.

My question is would it have any detrimental effect to the back box if I modified the I let bore to be bigger to fit the lude ?

I work for a fabrication company so I can do the mod myself but don't know if it's okay todo

Any help will be much appreciated
Cheers
Micky

Okay thanks :) I'll have to have a look, if I mess it up it doesn't matter because it cost me nothing lol
