Drive shaft oil seals.

Post by ADS1 » Tue Mar 13, 2012 9:47 am

I will be replacing my drive shaft oil seals soon, and notice that the manual makes no reference to using any sealant to bed the seals.
So do I just put then in dry, or should I use some kind of sealant?
If so any one in particular you would recommend ?
Cheers.
Tony.

I assume you mean the diff seals in the gearbox?
If so, put them in dry (carefully), make sure thay are fitted square.
Spread a little grease around the inner before inserting the driveshafts just to avaid any possible snagging
