Just had to change mine, I'm on an A8 but still use my original one which is a TD60U. (Shouod say on the top) If you do end up having to order one, I got it for £155 delivered next day from what used to be probe distributors - now called ignition car parts out something, BUT, for some reason trading as something like Motor Parts World on eBay, where it was £70 c cheaper than their site
Anyway, excellent service and decent part.

Can you just change the coil in them?

Yes, very easily, and the igniter/ICM. I was quoted £26+vat for the coil this week, but my dizzy was 20 years and 180k old, and you could see the wires themselves have had it. Being that an igniter was about £70, I thought it's s false economy, may as well treat it to a whole new unit.

No, it's a piece of cake TBH.
Basic tools and a little patience.

Dizzy cap off, rotor arm off, plastic cover off, then the coil is at the bottom.
From memory I think t's two little bolts that hold it in.
Don't think I've seen a write up, but a google will probably find one somewhere I'd have thought.

The screws can be a bitch to remove, put the screwdriver in and give it a light tap with a hammer before you try to undo them.
Coil.
Igniter.
