Knock senser permanent removal

Well lads I'm thinking of not bothering fixing the faulty knock senser and replace the ecu with a p28 if I'm correct does anyone have more info on this cheers

I always thought the knock sensor was worth keeping.. what will you gain from removing it?

If your doing this to save money, don't forget you will have to have the ECU mapped, which'll cost a bit and be more critical as you'll not have the safety net of a knock sensor; also you will have to have the IAB control added as the P28 does not normally have this.

I've seen a lot of people do the p28 with a chip because either the knock sensor is faulty or the wires are faulty, does any one have a second hand knock sensor for sale ?
