Lude Generation

In need of a new gearbox for my newly acquired lude, with help from Dbo (legend) he pointed out I had a H22a5 engine and a M2V5 Gearbox. I have found a second hand replacement very close by (massive stroke of luck) but am wondering if I need the same gearbox or will other coded gearboxes work and if so, which ones?

I tried searching but didn't come up with much really

come on experts i fell sure i have read on here that nearly all the H22 boxes seem to fit all?
i would also like to know list of numbers that would fit as my clutch will need doing soon and could possibly think about LSD box at same time.

they do fit, but they have different ratios hence the different codes

Yeah all H22 boxes fit, even Accord type-R ones

Ah ok cool that's good news then!! Just might be a slightly different drive!

so has anyone ever done a list anywhere that states codes and ratios? so that if a noob was looking at a cheap box they would know if to buy it or not?
i only say as my son had this problem when he had a polo, 2nd a 5th gear went as they all do and the new box he bought went on fine but was for town use only so he couldn't do motorways as it screamed it's tits off.

why not choose a ratio thats suits you, if you dont go great distances and mpg isnt a prob you could go for a lower ratio and get kick ass accel

no just checked, think its on puk, i do still have the original files though

some numpty in an integra tried that the other day i had to do 8,000 in each change to hack him off
