Hi Guys
What does an average turbo build cost? I have a list of parts but just wandering how much it would cost and what gains you see out of it?
h22 turbo manifold
Garrett t3/t4 super 60.
tial waste-gate (internal spring at 9psi)
tial blow off valve
aem fuel rail
aem fuel pressure regulator
walbro 255 fuel pump
450cc fuel injectors
hondata s200
chipped p28 ecu
This above right?
I think this is the best place to ask, im sure someone on here has turboed theirs :p
thanks in advance

there are plenty of kits out there for a decent price. few on facebook aswell.
your gains will depend on set up and tune.
are you building the block?
if not you wont need the walbro or the injectors, standard ones will be fine if your going to run a stock block, in which case i recommend only going to around 7psi with a really good remap or it wont be worth it.
if your building a block, then thats when you start spending silly money

as of cost, you could pick up a kit for anywhere between 500 to 1000 , depending on if its used or new etc
you also missed out intercooler and piping
other things you would need to buy are guages, to keep your eye on everything

Is S200 not a bit dated now?

I agree and disagree woth lucas on the injector size and pump. For the monies I would fit bigger injectors and pump more sor a saftey side of things. You'll be pushing the limits of those injectors plus they're probably on the old side now.

but if he is boosting a stock engine, the stock injectors & the fuel pump shouldnt max out, depending on the turbo, as he can only take it to 7 or 8psi WITH A SOLID REMAP! always run safe

so, it would be money spent were un-needed.
if he runs a larger turbo then yea, bigger injectors.
and yeah, s200 is mega dated

But your right on the safe side, dont want to detonate
personally i wouldn't boost a stock h22a, It would be getting built

AH i was just asking, cheers for all your help guys
not got my prelude yet, saving up for it i was just curious after seeing some on youtube of what people have done, and got the parts list off their too.
Yeah so just curious about what type of gains people have got from turbo builds etc.
I dont think i will boost on the standard internals, will be a case of building maybe a second block whilst i run standard everything apart from breathing mods and chip on the orginal block.
Ah well, fun times ahead haha :p CHeers for all the input though

thats a good plan
get a nice clean lude and build an engine over time
with a built engine, the power will then depend on what parts you buy, what power they can handle etc
you could look at well over 350bhp, or if you have deeper pockets 500+
theres a guy in the states with a h22a at over 1000bhp
