I'm pretty sure it's identical. Only the ATR one doesn't use an oil pressure switch. It does have the port for one though, it's just capped off...

The a7 has an oil pressure switch, well my H22a7 did.

H22a with a snapped pressure sensor I need to replace

Not much of an answer here, but it's looking like it's an OBD2 thing
not to have an oil pressure switch in the Vtec solenoid...

That's mine pictured above and that was from an ATR.
Then the ATR engine in my 5th gen has one, but it's not connected. You can just see the green connector at the top of the pic...
So I assume it's a Vtec solenoid from an OBD1 Prelude and they just haven't removed the plug and capped it.

Is that because you were running it OBD1?

No it was an OEM engine from an Accord and I hadn't done anything to it.
Lings also shows it to have the oil pressure switch (#17):

It is true that the Type-S does not have the oil pressure switch. Which is just confusing

Type-S H22a, H22a7 and H22a8 are all pretty much the same so why would the a7 have one but the a8 and Type-S H22a dont
