What should my car tick over at?
Right now, when starting from cold it sits at a little over 1000, which maybe is to be expected, and when warm its at about 8-900.
Is that OK do you think?
Its a 4G BB4 with stock H22A.
Thanks
Andy

pretty good bud, if it doesn't stall then you're winning!

Yes, not too far off, I think the manual states 750 +/- 50.

I noticed the idle is slightly up on my BB4
Since the cold weather set in it is sitting around the 900-950rpm whereas normally its around 800rpm
Like others have said i doubt its anything to worry about

1000rpm @ cold idle sounds a bit low, i usually see mine at the 1400rpm mark before it's warmed up.

Does it start at 1400 cutz or does it gradually climb to 1400 as it starts to warm up, before then dropping back (all of a sudden) to 900ish?

It might be worth plugging in a diagnostic tool to tell you exactly what the car is idling at because it might be the dials misreading. On one of my previous ludes the el dials were reading higher than they should have been and I thought there was something wrong with the car until I got a mechanic to look at the actual idle. I replaced the dials with a second hand set and it fixed the problem.
