Boo! Oh yeah, and OEM parts

Hey guys,

It's been a while! How is every one?

I've decided to rebuild the h22 I bough last year for the civic as its developed a rattle and I'm not confident how healthy the bottom end is...

To that end, I've lifted the head off the motor (this will also help with fitting the ATR intake from 4th gen phil as space is tight).

I need to find some OEM replacement parts; Head bolts, cam end seals, valve stem seals, head gasket, water pump, big end bearings & piston rings. Possibly some other seals and gaskets depending what needs replacing.

Does anyone know a decent priced UK supplier for OEM parts?

And do you want your K24 crank back? ;-)

Still got it then!

I am tempted, I keep getting caught between k24 crank or 4.77 FD. Both have the same sort of impact on speed per gear, I guess k24 would be better a cruising revs would be lower but then I'd need a AEM EMS and a tune at another £1500

Yes, I sent you a PM, but you never replied

Phil was tempted by it, but is still umm'ing and arr'ing about it. I've not offered it to anyone else as you we both 50% keen to have it

I know, sorry

I dropped off the face of the forum earth for the best part of a year. Was the only way I could stop myself from buying parts!

TBH that didn't work either. I still ended up buying a carbon fibre bonnet, carbon fibre wings, carbon fibre side skirts and a duck bill spoiler for the s

You'd probably be better off with the ARP head bolts, they will be cheaper than OEM and are reuseable too.

not fitted the skirts or spoiler yet, going to sort out the rust on the sills first or I think they'll look a bit wrong.

I'd love to get one but couldn't be done without lots of money. They're about £1500 from the US for mugen replica without the fitting kit. I got the bonnet for £85, wings for £250, skirts for £250 and the spoiler for £70 so not really in the market to spend big money on it.

Carbon bootlid, front lip, front canards & readr diffuser would do it tho I think 8-)
