stinky catalytic converter

In the past few days the catalyst on my 2.2vti (H22a5) has started smelling really bad with the sulphur/bad eggs smell.

Is the cat on its way out? Performance isn't what it was which makes me think it could be failing at 130,000 miles.

If I need a replacement can anyone recommend anywhere. I have seen this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 48&alt=web

Cut it out and replace with a piece of pipe.

Just an update in case anyone is interested, the garage tested the emissions at idle and at 2500/3000rpm and they were normal. The smell apparently can be caused by doing short journeys and hard acceleration (guilty  ).
