New Radiator and pipes

Hi All,

I need to put new rad and pipes in my prelude as the rad seems to have seen better days and while I'm doing some other work I thought I might as well get it all fixed up. I have been looking at the Mishimoto brand as they say its a direct fit for the Mk4 Si Vtec. Has anyone else fitted one and had any problems?

Has anyone got any other suggestions for radiator and pipes?

Would you also upgrade the fans given the option as the radiator is out?

Thanks,

Ben

Loads of options for after market silicone rad pipes. Have a look on ebay and you'll be swamped.

Lots of people have samco ones (me included).

Unfortunately silicone replacements for the rest of the cooling pipes don't seem to be available these days??? (although Heavy Set keep promising they are having some made up...  )

@wurlycorner Thanks Iain, seem's when you fix something others seem to appear just from a broken bolt :( . I have seen the ebay ones but not sure of the quality. I have heard good things from Samco but never used them personally. I do have a place not far http://www.siliconhoses.co.uk/ and they mentioned they could make one for one of the classic cars but they did mention with all the bends it would be expensive. Think while the pipes are off I might take them down and get a quote.

How much were your Samco hoses if you don't mine me asking?

I got an ally rad off Ebay only £109 delivered and its standing up to the test on my racecar.

JP racing or something

I also got a set of hoses from Heavyset

I got the Accord Type R ones as I was running the Accord inlet and have removed the heater set up

Sorry, I can't recall how much they were when we bought them for Lisa's car tbh and the ones on mine are second hand.
