What all needs to be done to get a 5th gen H22 to work in a 4th gen? Specifically about the dizzy/crank position sensor?

Easiest way is to swap the engine loom for the 4G one and use a 4G dizzy I believe?

As in the Engine loom that connects to the internal loom in the top of the engine bay?

So:
5th gen engine loom
4G dizzy
4G injectors?

So:
4th gen engine loom
4G dizzy
4G injectors
4g Alternator
(possibly 4g engine sensors?)

I think?

Or swap the lot and use a obd2 to obd1 ecu conversion harness? @rattymcclelland might be able to advise on obd2 to obd1 ecu side as im sure he will have done it on his type-s now hes lost atts.

I'd prefer to run a P30 OBD1 ECU rather than the stock P5P ECU since I don't have EGR and other bits.

Yea I get you now, as inside the 4th is already obd1, way I was talking was swapping an obd2 car to obd1 without swapping parts

easier just to put the 4g engine loom dizzy and inlet manifold complete onto the 5g engine job done no faffing around on a 4g all the sensors apart from the common ones engine oil and water temp sensors and of course vtec are in the dizzy

Everything should fit. They you just use a obd2 to 1 harness and 4th gen ecu.

In theory.
