My h22a has a leak on pulley side. Took it to mechanic after buying the car and told me it looks like a crank seal leak but when I saw the engine oil is sprayed up all side of engine, could the oil poor onto belt then spray up? Any suggestions thanks

Another possibility could be the balance shaft seal. Honda released a seal retainer as originally the balance seal could work its wait out and dump the oil...
Have you inspected the belt to see if it's saturated in oil?

I had accord type r that's crank seal went was only after I came off a dual carriage way and slowed down oil light came on I knew something was wrong. Stopped put oil in as quick as I was putting it in it came out the bottom the whole underside of the car and back of engine was covered in oil no chance of it rusting lol

Mechanic says the engine is a nail
But I think it's because it's been stood for years that the seals have perished

What does he mean by nail? That's normally the sort of crap responses you get fed when the bloke doesn't like the car at all and doesn't want to be working on it...
Do you actually trust this guy /used him before?
