Hi all,
I'd really like to get new tape as mine looks pretty tatty. I'm talking about the grey stuff around the bundle shown in this shot.

Is it something special? Some kind of high-temperature/waterproof stuff? Does it come in various colours?
If someone could let me know, perhaps I can get a good brand back in England from Halfords or other accessory place.
Thanks as ever, Simon. ;)

It's just black insulation or self amalgamating tape.

I would advise using non adhesive insulating tape (not the easiest thing to find) due to the heat that area is exposed to. I expect some people on here have used normal insulating tape without any problems though.

Amalgamating tape is non adhesive anyway, but usually a bit thicker.

I used normal electrical tape, 18 months and 10k later it still looks great.

By the looks of it I can buy it at a place called Screwfix. They have a place in Halifax so it's worth a quick swerve into there while I'm back. Thanks.
