Lude Generation

Hello lude lovers.
I'm looking at getting a 5th generation h22 in the next few weeks, I'll have about £1000 to spend to squeeze more power out of her. I'm definitely more of a k series man, so the h is a bit out of my knowledge base. What would people recommend would get me the best improvements for my budget. Cheers in advance.

What H22 is it?

If it was me and knowing what I know now from experience the biggest difference to make it faster is a shorter final drive like the mfactory 4.64fd and build a good lsd gearbox or build onto on existing lsd box.

Such a massive difference. More torque, quicker pickup, allot faster.

^^ yup £600 on a final drive will give a greater increase in performance compared to £600 of engine mods on a stock engine.

What h22 Box with lsd could the final drive be put into? As you can't do it with my m2b4

Any gearbox that does not use a viscous LSD.

im guessing all OEM boxes use a viscous LSD

Only the M2B4, M2T4 and M2Z4 use a viscous LSD. All other Lude gearboxes have an open diff.

All open diff gearboxes and the ATR U2Q7 Torsen diff gearbox can use modified final drives.
