Just need to know if an exhaust manifold from a H22a5 would fit directly onto a H22a8?
The exhaust manifold itself is a Japspeed one, which as i am told has a bigger bore than the standard one and would be less restrictive and ideal for when i get my lude mapped next month.
Only reason i am asking is becos it will give me time to save up for a custom made one from Solid-Fab and then i can directly bolt it on when i get it.
Thanks
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

No it wont. H22a5 and H22a8 exhausts are incompatible. The a8 has a longer downpipe, longer CAT, and shorter mid section. The best way (perhaps the only way) is to replace the whole a8 system with one from an a5. Or get sections custom made to suit what you already have.
Also Japspeed manifolds are just SS copies of the OEM manifold, dont waste your money. The only off the shelf manifold known to give power are Fujitsubo, Mugen, Hytech, Bisimoto, Vibrant and a few others. Other than that your looking at a custom made one.
You have a Mugen twinloop CAT-back already?

Yeah i have a Twinloop Cat-Back installed. A fella on here is selling a japspeed manifold and he said it has a bigger bore over the stock manifold and it would be good for tuning the car with until i could afford a custom one.
If it doesnt fit then its no good to me. Thanks Merlin

Yea sorry mate could swear it was a bigger bore! Anyhow, went down to the cave to get both out and verify. To look at the japspeed is bigger but when you line them up the bore sizes are exactly the same;

I do have the centre section so you could fit it, but as Merlin has already said, there wouldn't be much point.
Sorry about that I wasn't trying to palm crap off on you, genuinely thought the JS was bigger

its not about the bore diameter with the japspeed/dc sports replica its about changing the length of the primaries/secondaries.
