Best exhaust for h22a

Post by lewie fraser » Tue Apr 12, 2016 10:05 am

I am going to be looking for a good exhaust system at some point in the future.I am wanting to go for a 2.5" aswell

whats the best systems to use on the prelude H22A engine? I am guessing just stick with good brands and not ebay ones.
Is 2.5" the best size?

I'd find a place with a good rep to make one up for you. Know one down here in Fife - but might be a bit of a trek from your neck of the woods! Must be something in Perth or Dundee though?

From personal experience of having a few different systems on my Preludes over the years, I would say without doubt, Skunk 2

Stainless Creations in Falkirk and get a custom one made. Me, Vanzep and Newkid have used them. They are very good and not as expensive as you think it will be ;) http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/post202711.html#p202711

Yeah 2.5" is the way to go.

Im running a plm manifold and downpipe joined to 2.5" centre section with no cat and finished with mugen twin loop back box

most of the fabrication was done by auto solutions and the mugen twin loop back box was fitted by stainless creations :)
more info will be in my lude profile

What you got on the car the the moment?

Bear in mind if your just running standard ecu any change will probably make the car overfuel a little bit more than it already does ;)

It might be worth getting a price from the place in Falkirk and in fife then.I am not in the market to buy a full system just yet but its something I want to do after all the mechanical side of things are spot on.I have a stock manifold, downpipe and cat with a powerflow cat back which is very good as its quite and can easily live with it as a daily driver.I am waiting for a good branded manifold to come up for sale though

@nitin_s1 - What sort of price are you looking for the back box?

And is 2.5 the way to go over 2.25 if you just have basic mods (ie AEM V1)
