Manual Gearbox options 5G

I've done my usual 'Man Search' and found some stuff.

But.............

What manual gearbox's are Bolt on for the H22a.

I'm planning an Auto/Manual conversion and just want to know my options for the best Gearbox.

I kinda know what I need for the conversion, just want to make sure I don't buy the wrong g-box......or Complete car :)

What do you want from your gearbox? Best acceleration? Best MPG? Best diff? Cheapest / easiest to get? Any Prelude or accord gearbox will fit but not all gearboxes are the same.

Its a second car, and will rarely do any long journeys.

Money not really an issue (but don't want to build a custom box), rather not loose any acceleration and top speed is not one of my past times :)

Cool, in that case you should look for a gearbox with the 4.266 final drive:

U2Q7 - Accord Type-R short ratio in 2nd & 3rd with Torsen diff
M2P4 - UK 99+ Prelude short ratio in 2nd & 3rd with open diff
M2B4 - JDM 4th gen "standard" ratios with viscous LSD
M2A4 - JDM 4th gen "standard" ratios with open diff

If you use a 4th gen gearbox I think you will need the VSS unit form a 5th gen gearbox to make it work in your 5th gen. There is a difference in the casting of 4th and 5th gen boxes (as in the way they mate up to the block and oil sumps of the 4th and 5th gens). later I can go into this more. A bit pressed for time ATM.

Awesome cheers.

If an ATR one comes up i'll grab it.

if not then a 99+ will do.
