I've just bought a 2000 H22a8 BB8 to use as a donor for a Manual gearbox conversion on my JDM 5th Gen.

Did all the later ones come with the Type S looking intake/airbox? And will it take much difference fitting it to my current H22a?

Nitin means yes the a8's did come with them, but you'll have no trouble swapping onto your current h22a, it's a direct fit. Some members have even fitted them to their 4th gens.

Cheers :D

Anything else worth swapping/keeping off it? (Apart from the usual 'spares')

Shame to break a late a8 - they're rare.

But in answer to the question... are a8 ECUs different? (Different map because of the higher compression engine)? :?

I have track day coming up in Sept, might use the car for that then pull it apart over winter. The guy said its a Motegi, but the only thing I can see on it is wheels and side skirts, so not sure. It's a bit battered, and has a dent in the rear quarter, I'll see how well it cleans up before I make the decision.

Worth putting the whole lot in then? This A8 has only done 70k
