Type R Intake on 4gen questions

Hey guys. Ive never found a "howto" on a 4gen. And iam curious about the little injector holes wich should be shut. Why should they? I cant see how air should come inside. Is the 4gen Injector to small so it can pass it? Or does it matter if youre using a P13 or PDE head?

I want to use PDE Head and stock BB1 injectors. Block EGR and block iacv for the moment as i dont have another yet.
Id be thankful for sugestions!

Also does anyone have a good idea to remove valve seals? Ive bought a special pincer and i used it years ago for the CRX, but i cant remember how i did that infact the pincer is totally useless.. just remember it took me a whole day. I might stic kjwith he old seals but then i cant damage them :/

i had the same problem, even bought valve pliers and they did no good - trick is to heat them to bollocks with a heat gun or similar  until they are nearly on fire, and then then pop off easily 8-)

Check out this link to Rosko Racing

loads of info on H22/ATR (Euro R)

Ive got a converted ATR intake and was wondering the same - will converted ATR intake work only with P13 head using stock 4th gen H22 injectors or will it work with PDE head as well using 4th gen H22 injectors :?

Thanks guys. I got all seals out by modifying the tool.. Heating makes sense aswell

But iam stil confused on these holes. I cant see that they will cause any "leaks" but i will take a look on it tomorrow.

Goal is to get the car running tomorrow. Deadline is 1 day more..

Do I need anything more to know if i have to buy anthing? Will The Fuel Rail and injector work?

i think there are holes on the outside on the manifold, not the injector side which are blocked by using a PDE head and gasket, whereas a P13 head wont block them.

im ok on mine (i think) as im using a PDE head & gasket to match, although im not sure what to do with the outlet pipe the guide mentions here

Ok the cylinderhead and Manifold conversation is done, but i broke my injectors :( not sure if it affects the driving. but also one sealing died so teh fuel is spilling like crazy. Fuel rail does totally not fit the R intake..

Iam going to set the TPS now properly and try the AEM EMS so it ignores the emissing IACV. I have no real clue how to fasten the fuelrail?! Any ideas??!

Ok here are some pics
sounds like you need a fuel rail adaptor plate - sure you can get them from Rosko or maybe do a search on ebay
(i bought this intake as it is - so dont ask me any technical questions as i wont know  )

I thought the injectors were different on the ATR and 4g vtec ones won't fit the mani without some machine work?

the 4g injectors have a different spray pattern so some machine work is needed to deshroud/open up the top of the ports and you need an adaptor plate for the fuel rail
