Ive got a fuel leak at the underside of the hose comp fuel joint.
Can i just cut the fuel joint out - (item 22 in pic below) and put in place a section of rubber fuel hose.
Im not sure what the function of the comp joint is and if i can just bypass it - there isnt enough material to carry out a repair and keep the joint. I dont know if it is a valve of something... :?
The joint is over £160 on lings  but no longer available
Any help would be appreciated :)

Yes you can lose that part, I removed mine years ago with no issues.

I replaced it with braided hose and AN fittings, not sure if rubber and clips would be up to the pressure?

The comp joint has no function other than for mounting, I opened it up and it's just a straight pass through.
