So I have an SiR and a BB8, while one's on the road I want to get the other rebuilt.
What advice do you have for me, recommend anything in particular or anything you may have wanted to try?
I wanted to ask if anyone has an engine stand, a brand they can recommend? and what should I look out for?

depends if there was any problems with the engine before?
depends how much money and time your willing to spend on it?
i have an engine stand, not sure what make tbh but i think their pretty much all the same, so no point spending over £50/60.

That's what I'm aiming to do and finish it up with a ceramic coating.
I'm curious as to how much of a difference it will make power and drive wise

Depends what power it made before. I will run better, be more reliable and poss gain a few bhp but nothing to write home about
