Hi chaps
I've got a possibility to get my hands on h22a7 cams. The question is - is it worth putting them into 4th gen h22a? Or better to scout for type-s cams?

Ok, thanks guys!
Will it make any difference if I'm currently running stock engine with chipped P28 and non-standard map without remapping ecu?
I know it's a long shot, but in theory..?

More air in, more gases out. Should see a difference in top end. I've a set to go into mine now this week also.

Yes its a good improvement. I have type S cams in my H22A2 and along with some other basic bolt on mods my 182bhp UK spec engine is now making 213bhp and that's still on the stock ECU and map. 8-) 8-)

I’ll wake up an old topic.
Does anyone have the detailed specs for both, h22a and a7/8 cams?

And is this mod plug and play? Or something else is needed as springs etc from atr?

plug and play unless you have a tunable ecu which will need a remap to get the best out of them.

ive run a7 cams in H22a but had an issue where the old hydraulic lmas were sticking and was advised to upgrade the valve train to sprung lmas.

Are they listed in the OEM service manuals? (Don't have access to them to handz right now)

i measured 4 sets of cam lobes (likely done wrong knowing me) not that long ago with a digital vernier, so take these specs with a pinch of salt;
H22A2 cams 36.40
H22A8 cams 36.91
JUN cams 37.47
H22A cams 36.86

i need to re-measure them though.
