5th Gen Manual Gear Selector - 2.0 version the same as 2.2v?

Post by Lankysod07 » Mon Jul 16, 2018 9:10 am

Heya guys,

As some of you know may I have a faulty gear selector as the rubber seal pivot washer has blown so now I can't select 1st or 2nd so I am looking for a replacement.

Anyone aware if the 2.0L manual gear selector is the same as the 2.2v, it would make sourcing one a little easier me thinks..

Cheers in advance guys!

Anyone else experienced issues where 1st and 2nd gear won't engage? When I got for what is 1st and 2nd,i get 3rd and 4th? This is while the car is still and driving, no crunches and no obvious noises that says anything is wrong!

You could manually move the levers on the gearbox itself, this'll let you know if it's the box or the linkage/selector.

Not quite the same, but on the 4th gen the 2.0 and 2.2 levers are the same.
