I don’t think it’s an overkill for the engine as I was going to get this for my H22A (same as yours) and with a bit of tuning I would have seen some gain over stock. As for being loud, that can be sorted with a bigger silencer but I like it loudATR84 wrote: @Ratty and @Nitin - Thanks for the offer of the exhaust , when you say too loud.....got any videos? Also, isn't 3 inches overkill on these engines? I guess I better wait until I know what is going on under the car, I have asked Torque GT to check it out for me when they get round to servicing it etc. I might get them to take a picture of the underneath so you experts can advise what the previous Japanese owner has done!

I like it loud as well, especially as it is not going to be a daily car. I want a particular type of loud, the sort of loud that you get from a spoon exhaust on a b series engine.
With that in mind, I am thinking going for the Skunk 2 racing exhaust along with a decat. This will need some modding due to unique length decat the Type S has.
In terms of decat, is this safe on a non mapped car?

Thanks Nitin. I have spoken to Rich at Performance Autoworks, he did a lot of the mods on my old 4th gen a few years back. He is going to fabricate a decat to fit whichever exhaust I decide on.nitin_s1 wrote:De-cat is good and safe even for non-mapped car. I had them on my Prelude's before. If you're buying an exhaust off the shelf then there might be some modification required as Type-S/S-Spec (or even other JDM)'s cat's length as different so make sure you just be aware.
One thing I forgot to ask him, I want to swap the standard air filter for a K&N one, as it is the type s intake does it take a different filter or is this one fine? https://h-tune.co.uk/k-n-air-intake-fil ... relude-bb/

Yes I was, thanks Nitin. Sorry, another question, what badges are missing off my type s? I believe there should be a Type S badge in the front grill? The Type S badge is on the back. Should there be an atts one as well?nitin_s1 wrote:Are you just talking abut the panel filter to go in the original air box?
They are all the same for all H22 engines (all auto, manual, Type-S, 4G and 5G)..
