H22a head gasket and atr head

I me and friend putting atr head on a h22a and he ordered one up from motor factors. He give his reg from his own car witch is a 5gen lude. It came up as a a5. Will that head gasket do is it the same?

No, the A5 is an open deck, whereas the A is closed, the head gaskets are different.

I seen the difference is them on picks. Seems to be the holes in bottom corner. A2 has 4 a5 has 2long ones. Would this really matter

TBH, you could use an open deck gasket on a closed deck block and it would probably work just fine, but not the other way round (closed deck gasket on an open deck block).

If you use a reg number from a JDM 4th gen, that should give you a gasket for a closed deck H22A (provided the parts computer is linked correctly).
Failing which, can you get the motor factors to order in whatever different head gasket part numbers they can find and then compare once they're in stock and they send back the ones that aren't right?
