skunk2 intake manifold

has anyone installed one of these in there car if so, so there much work in doing it and did it produce any power gains

Same at ATR IM, need tuning to get the benefits.

It's a straight forward swap, but it will only produce gains after a tune, otherwise you will see a loss in torque. All depends on your mods as to how much gain you'll see as well. With basic breathing mods members have seen a good 20+bhp after a tune.

my build was this, type s intake, 62mm TB, ATR cams, MUgen manifold & down pipe with a greddy cat back and a decat.

After tuning with s300 & PAW magic it got 228bhp up from 185bhp

EDIT: By this I mean the ATR IM which is basically the same thing as the skunk one

mines is a types engine i have the v2 intake, but no exhaust, running standard ecu

oh be prepared to lose the ATTS if your tuning with a different ecu

dastek unichip to the rescue. tune and keep ATTS.


i think rocket just has the engine though? transplant wasn't it? in which case the sky is the limit.

I've read on the forums in the US that the ATR and Euro-R intake manifold out performs the Skunk2 one by a small margin...
