No, the vibration is consistent and doesn't increase with higher revs. I removed the rocker cover earlier and the cams haven't slipped the adjustable cam gears which is good.
I'll do the clutch test later Nath, cheers
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Might be a total red herring but its worth taking the dizzy cap off and have a look at the rotor arm, points etc - easy to do

If there is no strange behaviour or noises and you have checked the usual suspects, I'd say take a good look at the rear engine mount and make sure it is fully tightened. I'm not sure what else it could be.
Good luck

i had some issues with dizzy in the BB1 - the earth contact pin in the cap had come loose and shredded some bits of the inner casing - they wrapped round the spindle and blocked part of the pickup sensors - car ran really badly with lots of vibration.
Like i say might be a red herring but old/worn/faulty dizzys can cause some weird issues - so worth a couple of mins work to have a look
I have a upgraded rear mount and mount to block bracket like new here - if you find thats the issue
