yes, unless you invest in a tune up as well. I dont understand most of this area as I have a type s (we are restricted on our options) but hondata s200-300 seems to be the winner? people with head mods and 10:1 CR seeing 230 ish bhp...

ah, wait, are you on 11:1 CR with an A8? if so your looking at 240bhp on the cams. that would be your next point of attack. cams. vbalve springs etc etc.

As LLL has already said, however you will need to tune it before you'll see any gains as if you just bolt it on you will have losses in torque

Get it fitted and get it tuned! 8-)

Would it be better to use the a8 throttle body instead of the a7 (they are both the same size) but the a8 has a FITV? Or would that not matter anyway?

If your getting it tuned it wouldn't matter, provided the tuner knows what hes doing. I have the ATR TB fitted to mine and I've not had any cold start or idle issues.

I will be getting a new ecu p28 with hondata 300 or something like that just need to get a new exhaust manifold and downpipe and IRL be ready for a new ecu and tune up. I was under the impression the A8 tb was 62mm or did I get that from thin air haha
