gear ratio mix & match

I've seen people write about mixing and matching gears from different boxes to give the most wanted combinations.
I'm thinking about doing it between two h22 boxes... Is this possible or is it a pipe dream? And does anyone know the man hours involved in doing so?

lots and you need a gear puller, which isnt cheap!

What sort of thing are you after anyway? I'm sure with the selection of boxes you can find one that suits your wants the most?

mixing a vtec box would be real cool, theres plenty of scope for individule driving styles
most folks want a taller 5th gear

A JDM LSD box with 5th gear from a UKDM 2.3 box please.....

hi, i'm using a gearbox that i've played with. atr box with a 1st & 2nd from a 2.0 box.
long 1st & 2nd gear. short 3rd 4th and 5th.
its not too bod to do but takes a little know how, changing 5th gear shouldn't be too bad if you have both complete boxes,
