i'd say its up to you about leaving it off, research, there is an argument on each side, i personally dont have mine fitted as i have seen no conclusive evidence that not having it fitted creates any extra wear and i felt no increase in vibration!

In retrospect I did notice it when it snapped.
But now it feels like in constantly driving on rumble strips, because it's out of alignment.
