oil leak

Hi. The gearbox in my lude seems to of produced an oil leak in the last couple of days. Its coming from the gear selector part. Any ideas as to what could be causing this. Cheers jon

sure its not tracking down from perhaps the cam seal?

Im pretty sure it isnt but i suppose theres a chance it could be. Didnt get to have proper look as was late for work but ill look in morning one i get home from work. Chers jon

smell it you should be able to tell the difference between gear oil or engine oil

yeah its definatly gearbox oil. not a good sign i wouldn't of thought

Gear selector part on top of the box? Could it be PS fluid from the VSS passthrough?

lol . it got changed a couple of months ago so nothing recently . think im going to undo the selector bit and see if i can see anything . cheers
