Ok I meant the big end and shell bearings

Honda ask for colours on the back

But there are no colours on the back of the bearings

The woman In the parts department thinks she knows more then everyone we in the whole world

I asked her what do the colours signify
She said I don't know
So I ask asked her what size have the bearings been machined to?
She said I don't know
I asked her do they have different tolerances due to wear or the crank journals
She said I don't know

So I asked her

How the hell can you sell something you dont know or have any knowledge of excuse me for being me but what kind of service is that

I then explained to her the colours don't mean owt

She asked me for money down before I order

Anyway im ordering the bearings from my local grinders at least half the price and twice the smile

? :?

The colour of the bearings signifies the bearing thickness ~ to get your clearances correct.

I'm sure if she knew the answers to your question, she could get a job at PAW.
She probably earns £12k a year and has to deal with people like you. Feel sorry for her.

I drive a Prelude and I don't have a clue what you're on about! :poke:

ok i stand corrected

thanks for showing me.

bearing thickness, is this different for every h22a7 engine
for example there was 6 to choose from
so how is the bearing thickness going to change between crank shaft from 1 a7 engine to another (apart from normal wear and tear) if the crank shaft is within its tolerance and they are looking at the EPC for a
4 door,
01 plate
Accord type R
5spd MT

12k a year or not

you should know what your selling.

if i worked in a shop and you came to me asking about a product i sell im going to look like a proper dumbass
and you will think what the hell am i doing working there for.
surely this is the time when you have to be more on the ball, be most usefull to your employer

it was when i was asking her what is was all about she got all defensive and flapping her wings about raising her voice

i did say dont take it the wrong way im trying to find out
she sent me away yesterday telling me i need to tell her the colour
so i came back today with all the bearings and showed her no colour
then she asked me for the chasis number and full engine code.

maybe i need to take a course on how to have a softer heart

but i deffo should have found out about the colour thing. that was dumb ass of me
