Loudness?

Strange question but how do I find out how loud my car is?

start it run round the back and listen
serious answer you can get a decibel meter demon tweeks sell em not cheap though or a dvla mot centre might have one

Or go to a track day and get sound tested at scrutineering.
You dont have to be doing tje track day.
The lude is 89db at 4.5k rpm.
My dc2 with kakimoto N1 was measured at 119db at 6k rpm by police.

Thanks for the advice. I wouldnt like to bet on my 4G being under 105db

Thankfully Knockhill are very tolerant but im looking to try some circuits in England, and looking towards entering the car in competition (at least another year away once its more spec'd up

).

Road legal is technically no louder than factory......
Tom, its free when you get off with a warning and no fine.
The copper said it was the loudest car he had measured.

So in other words its at the discretion of the cop in front of you. Luckily my 4G doesnt see the road much

Bear in mind though that phone hardware is setup in such a way that most handsets can't 'hear' above @95db
