Hello all..
My Bro and I have my 4G 2.2 VTEC UKDM as a track day machine that we intend to fit an M2B4 gearbox.
My daily is an '00 5G VTI which I understand has a M2P4 gearbox with ATR ratios minus the LSD. I've seen that guys fit the ATR LSD box in the 5G BUT is there any benefit to the M2B4 box in the 5G and is it compatible?

Indeed I have, well Tramroadmotors did the work but he showed me everything he did.
The 4g boxes will fit in a 5g, the M2B4 has similar lower gears but a longer 5th gear than the M2P4 which is great
& your right that box is the ATR U2Q7 minus LSD.
With regards to the swap, there is no modification required. You will end up with 2 bolts left over as there is a slightly different stud pattern around the bottom of the box. 1 is a small locator bolt and there is a slightly larger 1 at the bottom of the box, the fact that they're not present on the 4g says that you can get by w/o them. The speed sensor is also different but you can just put your 5g one in the 4g box.
