Competition clutch for track days?

I've been using a xtd stage 3 but I have just founds its starting the break up and is touching one of the rivets, I think for now I will adjust the touching rivet as its not seating fully but I want something better.

This clutch has only done a few track days and now I'm using track tyres, atr diff and lower ratio gearbox, so it will be taking even more abuse so what do I go for? I don't really want to be spending mega bucks but I know good things don't come cheap so I am hoping someone has tryed and tested other clutches to recommend?

Thanks pete

Check out the ACT website. All specs are there for you to pick and choose all the components to best suit your needs.

Yeah they all rate what torque they can be used with but the xtd one should be good for around 300ft/lb and 300 bhp but mines almost screwed with a lot less than that.

I need to find out what other ppl use for track and how well they last, gutted really because I sold a brand new clutch n flywheel recently not knowing how bad mine was :-(

Yeah, I don't think XTD really have a reputation to go by their own stats, where as ACT do ;-)

Yeah but the stage 2 is around £350 :-(

I am thinking about keeping the end cover and just getting a act plate, no reason why it won't work and the end cover seems to be the expensive part?

Hey Pete, got your PM. I'll reply shortly - I have a spare if you want it. On the cheap end too though, but new and would be a tie me through for something more serious.

This is how my standard clutch ended up after a few Combe sessions

I think I'll stay away from xtd in favour of a longer lasting clutch, I hate doin gearbox changes!
