have you had your tracking and alignment done - id check that first and then and also check wheel balance,uneven tyre wear and driveshafts next
but like you say it might be down to the extra power from the hytech header - the way your lude closed up on the back of my car the other week showed your not short on power

Tbh I've only noticed in 1st and 2nd in VTEC But usually have a firm grip on the wheel if I'm flooring it.
