Has the stud snapped?

It might leak oil around the rocker cover gasket. Get a replacement from Honda, they're only a few quid IIRC. Might as well check the threads on the others as well just in case.

Very, they just unscrew with a long socket (12 or 14mm).

Think the stud itself has snaped

the stud snapped - thats not unusual imo - ive managed to do that a few times overtightening them. just hope its snapped/sheared at the top thread and not the thread into the block. only problem is youve got to take the rocker cover off to replace it  grab yourself some rtv sealant as well as you will need this to reseal the rocker cover.

aslo if i remember right not all the studs are the same size :?

yes - but pay a bit extra and get a good quality one - one thats got some heat resistant properties. your meant to use Hondabond but its mega expensive. i have used dow corning rtv as it came in a small tube and was easy to apply.
will try to find a link to it on ebay.

here it is

your ment to apply small bits to the new gasket

not as the complete gasket,

new gasket should be enough, with correct torque on bolts in sequence
