Jdm decat exhaust gaskets?

Post by 106pete » Mon Dec 17, 2012 6:13 pm

I've made myself a 2.5' decat pipe and want a proper gasket, I assume the rear flange is standard uk spec but the front to down pipe has an offset bolt hole?

Is there one off the shelf or do you just open out the hole?

Here's a quick snap of it ;-)

I have enough to make 7 more if there is interest?

Yup I know it is mate but I really don't think you can buy one off the shelf with the right stud pattern in 2.5, I just put one bolt through one of the holes and 'floated' it into position using a dab of exhaust paste, that was months ago now and no probs so far, and I'm anal about exhaust leaks after the nightmare I had getting my exhaust to seal

They do make one that looks right for the flange buts its not bloody cheap, and if I'm goin to supply them with the decats I think I need something a little more proper job.

I think they are designed to sit in a groove which the origional cat as but I can't do it to mine really.

A local motor factors has supplied 1 and I've opened it out to 2.5' and slotted the holes to suite but I want something more professional, I emailed some eBay sellers and they don't have the right bore size, and the ones that do are way to expensive :-(
