Induction

Post by LewisH » Sat Jan 05, 2013 4:45 pm

Hi,

Was wondering what everyone else has done for induction on there preludes. Mine has a stainless intake pipe with ITG foam filter on the end.

Whats everyone else got, and whats the best etc?

Most people go for a dynamic intake chamber airbox mcthingy from a prelude type s or a 1999+ model, then add a decent panel filter (such as a k&n). Or they go for a long induction kit (such as an aem) that locates the filter behind the front bumper where the resinator box normally sits.

IMO stay with a cold air intake, something that doesnt draw air from inside the engine bay. Also those stainless or alloy induction pipes get very hot.

Mine has been heat wrapped by the previous owner, doesnt get warm at all even after thrashing the car. So i suppose heat wrap does something good! :P
