Exhaust systems

Post by LewisH » Wed Jan 09, 2013 8:39 pm

Hi again!

Sorry for all the posts, apologies in advanced.

Ive currently got an exhaust system on the prelude, the lad put it on there who owned it before me. What are the best systems for these? Im currently looking at a buddy club system, with a mugen manifold and downpipe ?

If you can find one, you might want to investigate trying to get a Fujitsubo - rare and expensive though.

True - Solid Fabs would be the ultimate win ;)

Around my way, the traffic units are hot on "That exhaust isnt standard, and its too loud... Heres a fine" So i want something that looks like it would of come on my car....

Doesn't matter if it isn't standard or not as long as it's insurance declared. As for too loud, I'm sure someone on here pointed out with literature that there isn't an upper decibel limit and they can't just roadside test it?

Like I said. "Custom made" so it looks and sounds like anything you want. So it would look and sound like oem exhausts but will have better performance plus lighter then stock. ;)

Mugen would be too loud then. If it's declared as a mod on the insurance there isn't a lot they can do is there?

Aparently, there is... but ive not actually seen an "official" law on this. In Norfolk and Suffolk they hate modified exhausts. Actually... they just hate modified cars. I think its the only way they can earn there money is to pick on people like me :)
