No it should store any codes from the EML. Do the paperclip test and have a look. Might not be anything associated with the rad change though.

The old one will probably be fine to use if it's in good condition.
If you need a new one, Honda part # 18715-PB2-000 ;)

sorry to have jinxed your lude - as you know i was planning on cleaning my egr valve and i mentioned this to you the other day - funny that you got a code 21 the very next day - maybe im psyhchic
ive had a few tries to get the egr nuts undone and given up - @indigolemon has the tools needed to do this job so im hoping to get a loan of them sometime soon.
pushkis put up the part number for the gasket and i think its only £3 or £4 from Honda. If your going to get the gasket then grab me one as well :) i have heard of people making their own gaskets for this from cereal packets  dunno if this is recommended.....

I'd get a new gasket, and some fine sandpaper to clean the surfaces. Also get an old toothbrush and some brake/carb cleaner. The night before the operation, get some penetrating oil on the bolts.

I use my Teng socket set for this job, you're both very welcome to borrow it!

go steady and it will be fine, I think its a graphite gasket, egr vales are a bugger to get off because the way the nutts are set slighty under the unit. I have bent a few 12m spanners on purpose before just to get them off.

My method on the EGR nuts are a small 6 sided socket, wobble extension to get a good angle and a dirty great big 750mm long breaker bar. They undo like they were chocolate in an oven. ;)
