Not quite sure if I'm asking the right questions or framing them in the right way, but...


What can be done to increase throttle response?

What can be done to make the throttle travel feel shorter?

Are these the same questions?


I'm sure I read fitting a lightened flywheel helps the revs etc. but more answers would be cool.

You could adjust the length of the pedal. A longer top half of the pedal where the cable is attached would give you less pedal travel. And a lightweight clutch and tlywheel would make it rev more freely, just so happens I have 1 of these for sale

Thanks trammy, that was the sort of thing I was thinking could be done but wasn't too sure!

After going from a dogshit 406 to the Lude it felt mega sensitive but now I want it a bit tighter, starting to feel a bit sloppy.

Besides clutch & flywheel, anything else?

Have the whole engine lightened and balanced or change the cw&p to make it feel more responsive or run smsller wheels and tyres to reduce the rolling radius.

I found that cleaning the egr valve made a difference to throttle response - wont make it shorter but should help it spin up through the revs a bit quicker

^^ would that not make the cable slack

Not to mention you'd have to get one made from somewhere I'd have thought?

Surely your needing to put some cash into it to get better response? Maybe start with a full service?
