Hello guys
I got a BB8 with the A8 inside, the shells good (But im breaking it for bits most likely) it has a few problems but for 350 im not majorly fussed either way
My problem:
1*Idle seems to raise-drop constantly, if i turn on Lights/sunroof/AC etc etc the revs will drop to around 200ish and shudder. IACV? EGR are my thoughts
2* Idle to full throttle is sounds like it pink's or worse piston slaps it really audible even with the heaters on full for instance however no management light.. my issue with this is i NEED the engine, it does have and MSD ignition system on it and i am running it on normal unleaded
Help
Cheers
ade

Shouldn't the a8 be running on super unleaded?

Doesn't need to be run on super.
According to the sticker inside the petrol cap 95RON min
Always stick V-Power in though because it's +19 to your 2nd gear VTEC stat.

Delicately put. That's what my manual says, although I was holding shy of saying anything 'cos I'm pretty ignorant about this stuff.
Edit: Post Clash - I defer to the gentleman with the shiny axe and Phil Collins fetish

Personally I prefer Huey Lewis and The News. Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

@AdrianH2B You dont need to run it on 97RON. Yeah the manual says 97 but that is wrong. As said, the sticker on the inside of the fuel cap is 95RON. I have always ran my a8 on 95, and had it dyno'd twice which it gave stock power as it should.
1. Bouncing idle when the engine is warm is commonly the IACV. As quick way to test -When the engine is running disconnect the electrical connector for the IACV. If the bouncing stops, that points towards the IACV being the problem.
2. Could be valve clearances?
